March 20, 2020

This nation is in uncharted territory.  Our national and local government officials continue to call for social distancing.  We had already modified our schedule of services and had hoped to continue to gather on the Lords day as a group of believers.

With the growing concern for the safety of our members the leadership has, after much consideration and prayer, decided to suspend all of our services.  We will be on line for our services at least until the end of April.  We will continue to monitor the situation surrounding the Covid-19 disease and make adjustments as necessary.

This decision is made out of love and concern for our brothers and sisters, not from fear.  God is in control.  We ask that you continue to gather with your family, pray for this nation.  Remain positive and make the most of this time.  Reinforce connections within your family.  We encourage all to help your neighbor.  Take care of each other especially our older members or those who have health issue that make them more susceptible to the virus.

The church office will remain open.  We ask that you only come to the office if you are conducting business within the church office.  To help protect our staff we will be limiting access to the office complex.  We ask that all requests that can be handled with a phone call be conducted that way.

In the words of Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  God is with us!  As his children we have access to Him.  Psalm 1 is one of my favorite verses.  In verse 2 it say’s “but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.”  This is our desire for all of us, to meditate on God’s word in these uncertain times.  His promise is found in verse 3 “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither.  In all that he does, he prospers.”

Please join us on Face book live on Sunday.  We will continue to provide on line services on Wednesday nights and Sunday.  Please continue to check your updates as we send out more information.
